The flow of resources, not only goods, between the point of origin and the point of destination in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations. Logistics involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging, and often security. Today the complexity of production logistics can be modeled, analyzed, visualized and optimized by plant simulation software, but is constantly changing. This can involve anything from consumer goods such as food, to IT materials, to aerospace and defense equipment.

Uni-Ship began operations in tramping, break bulk and ship broking in March 10, 1986, almost 2 weeks after the First EDSA Revolution. The company expanded its operations in the container line business in January 1995 by forging an alliance with the South Korean-based C & Line Company Ltd.. This partnership eventually enabled C & Line, under the general agency of Uni-Ship, to handle the majority of Manila – Korea cargo traffic.
To further strengthen its logistics capability, the Filipino-Korean joint venture strengthened its relations with tramper principals worldwide. This allowed the Uni-Ship to offer both containerized and non-containerized business that had the support of auxiliary services like customs brokerage, freight forwarding, trucking and surveying. Uni-Ship’s tramper business unit also handled numerous heavy cargoes for power plant and infrastructure projects and other heavy lift job orders. These developments also paved the way for the Uni-Ship trucking company to be chosen as the primary partner of Asian Terminals Inc.on its Inland Container Depot (ICD) deliveries at Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon (CALABARZON).
In October 2005, Uni-Ship was appointed as the general agent of the Chinese company Sinotrans Container Lines in the Philippines. This affiliation established Uni-Ship’s China-Philippines and Philippines-China routes. To date, Uni-Ship continues to provide an extensive portfolio of freight, logistics and shipping services to both Philippine and international companies. The company remains focused on expanding its destination routes and services to help address the growing shipment needs of its clients.
